Swamp Ash, slightly harder than Alder, delivers brighter resonance, excellent sustain, and a slightly scooped midrange, with enhanced low-end response and crisp treble. The Swamp Ash top is chosen not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its tonal clarity and resonance.
